MOAR MAFIAAAAAAAA
This one is a mishmash of my entire short story oeuvre. WHAT FUN. We have new tricks up our sleeves! You can metagame, but the fact that the oeuvre is all over the damn place will make it less useful than it was before.
THIS TIME ALL THE EVERYTHING IS RANDOM. I will not take requests, I will not give people who I think would do a nice job with cool powers the coolest powers (sob), I will not be arranging any player-to-part correspondence at all. (Sob!) Because you people would just kill off everybody who you (quite rightly) expect me to want to give the best swag. SO IT'S ALL UP TO THE RANDOM NUMBER GOD. MAY THE RANDOM NUMBER GOD HAVE MERCY ON MY SOUL.
Please interpret pretty much all statements about the parameters of this game to carry the implied qualifier "unless something is going on". If us Gods go out of our way to make it really clear that we are definitely saying something is true, you can believe it. Failing that, assume it is possible that something might invalidate the statement.
The Town wincon this time is phrased thus:
You are TOWN, and win when all the scum are dead.
So you can quote your PMs, but if you guys do really annoying writing style analysis I will have to think of ANOTHER easily enforceable rule to get around the problem this is designed to solve. Behave.
As before: You are still not allowed to start private communication channels. You are still obliged to work towards your current win condition even if you suspect something might be about to interfere with your parameters. It is still permissible to abstain from voting or vote No Lynch; people who are able to do things may, in general, decide not to do those things if they like. Vote in bold, with the vote all on its very own line. No cryptography. It is tedious and unfun, especially for players who aren't crypto geeks. Talk in plaintext or keep it to yourself. Until endgame-ish, I'm going to try to stick to fixed, predictable lengths of days and nights, 72/48, so people aren't caught off guard, there is time for breathers, dusk and dawn don't indicate who had actions pending because of timezone or anything, etc. (I would REALLY appreciate people getting their actions for night time in early. You may include words like "unless" or "if" should you require contingencies depending on e.g. lynch results. English is equipped to handle this, honest.)
New: Do not use verifiable randomness generation. You may use nonverifiable randomness generation if you like (roll a die, draw cards, flip THE COIN IN EFFIGY) but do not produce ways for other players to confirm that your randomness is Really Random. This game is about being suspicious infighty cusses with Charisma checks, not with random.org. If you don't vote (explicitly abstaining counts as voting; if you just don't remark on the voting process in bold at all) we will assign your vote at random.
WHO WANTS IN? We can go with as few as fifteen players, I know we've had some attrition due to the HARROWING STRESS of prior games. ("Harrowing stress: now you too can be just like your favorite glowfic characters!")
