Brainstorming

Not the kind with cardstock and pawns. Mostly play by post Mafia so far.

That seemed like the sort of thing that would fit better on the Many Worlds Forum. Though it does have the minor downside of requiring several people from the same world and the major one of being a permanent game over for any characters you didn't want enslaved to fairies.

Also yes Mornington Crescent, and very yes Nomic.

Nomic is wonderful, but your fears are totally, totally justified. It is a timesuck.

That said, I know an excellent basic ruleset for online Nomic. It lasted Nomicron twelve rounds (2-3 years, IIRC) before that lost players and died, and worked pretty well on a reddit nomic I helped run.

Okay, by popular demand I have started up a game of Mornington Crescent. I hope it will be treated with the respect the game undoubtedly deserves even in these degenerate times.

I would be SUPER interested in a forum game involving fairies with truenames and kind magics, but I'm not at all sure how to structure one. Let's invent it!

Also I can't play Mornington Crescent because the thing about it that no one is supposed to publicly admit to meshes poorly with my brain, but I wish you all luck!
