YOU HAVE BEEN POSSESSED BY A DEMON (and are now playing that demon instead of your original character, now the demon's host).
Your win condition has changed. You now only win if at the end of the game whoever's possessed is the last person standing. You may then assume that the host skips town to happily unleash the demon in a larger metropolis.
Your current host (Akar) has an expiration date: being possessed by you is no picnic. On night 8 (if it gets that far), target someone else to move into them. You will die tragically if you fail to move hosts for any reason, such as trying to do so to someone who has died. Alas, you (the player) will have to bow out of the game when you change hosts even if it goes off without a hitch; but you can take notes to pass on to future players of THE DEMON, who will retain all of the active host's powers.
I also got access to private chat with MTC and modrony who kept themselves unspoiled (not PDV, who didn't), and they left me lots of notes and stuff.
and I have no idea. I think your math was pretty much right that regardless of win con we had to play the same BUT one thing that could have changed it was if you did trust someone not to be the demon, and you trusted them enough, it would have made sense to co-operate with them to avoid a coinflip, if the amount you trusted them (tamien in this case) gave a bigger chance of winning that way.
Another thing to notice was: modrony chose the target and we had to survive until the end. choosing michael would have been a loss for modrony, therefore michael couldn't have been the demon. i think that completely undoes the "it makes sense to vote for michael" strategy, despite the math.
