I think that whether the demon knows they’re the demon doesn’t change too much.
if the demon knows they are a demon and we’re all telling the truth, then michael is the demon. he’ll be killed today, tonight, or tomorrow.
if the demon knows they are a demon and one of us is lying, then one of us is the demon. maybe intuitive suspicions would help but we’d probably need more than a couple days to spot it.
if the demon doesn’t know they are a demon then it literally doesn’t matter what we do and THE COIN would be the best choice no matter what because there’s no way to figure out the answer to the problem; we have an equal probability of being the demon and no way to interrogate people to narrow it down.
I knew last game that I was Chelseaed, and what my new win condition was even before I got access to the private channel. Jalapeno knew last game that he was a serial killer even though he didn’t know about libby. but we’ve worked out mathematically that if the demon’s win condition is to survive and ours is to kill it then our best course of action still doesn’t change based on which one we are, and differences in motivation based on difference in wincon is how these things are usually spotted, and that’s really frustrating. It’s frustrating having to trust THE COIN to do the work for us because we can’t socialise with each other until the solution becomes clear.
