IT'S TIME TO PLAY ANOTHER HOMEBREW MAFIA VARIANT!
This one is Elcenia themed. WE DONE MADE SHIT UP, Y'ALL. If you think you are wise to our tricks, REVISE YOUR OPINION OF OUR CREATIVITY. I would like 20 players again, OR MORE, that would be great! Sign up! Bring your friends!
Elcenia is a magic heavy setting. You are welcome to metagame about which roles you think would be included and what they might do, but be advised that it would not be a good idea flavor or mechanics-wise for us to try to translate ALL OF THE THINGS ELCENIA CHARACTERS CAN DO into mafia game format. That would be unbalanced and unfun. If you want a role that I think is likely (but, given the way of things, cannot guarantee) to be lower on commitment and complexity, you may PRIVATELY tell me and I will do my best for you. OTHERWISE I AM LIABLE TO THROW YOU IN THE DEEP END.
Please interpret pretty much all statements about the parameters of this game to carry the implied qualifier "unless something is going on". If us Gods go out of our way to make it really clear that we are definitely saying something is true, you can believe it. Failing that, assume it is possible that something might invalidate the statement.
Last game you were forbidden to quote your role PMs because I didn't want town to be able to verify their town status with each other by comparing exact words that scum wouldn't have access to. This game I'm getting around that by quoting town's PM text for you right here in public:
You are TOWN. This means that you win when all scum are dead. Better get on that, huh?
So quote away. It does not convey special information if someone knows what Town's PM looks like.
As last game: You are still not allowed to start private communication channels. You are still obliged to work towards your current win condition even if you suspect something might be about to interfere with your parameters. It is still permissible to abstain from voting or vote No Lynch; people who are able to do things may, in general, decide not to do those things if they like.
NOT as last game: No cryptography. It is tedious and unfun, especially for players who aren't crypto geeks. Talk in plaintext or keep it to yourself. Also, I'm going to try to stick to fixed, predictable lengths of days and nights, probably 72/48, so people aren't caught off guard. (I would REALLY appreciate people getting their actions for night time in early. You may include words like "unless" or "if" should you require contingencies depending on e.g. lynch results. English is equipped to handle this, honest.)
