Is the Samarian angel ability to feel starlight and moonlight from canon? That’s the one thing I can’t imagine being possible with just advanced genetic engineering. Maybe with genetic engineering and no artificial lights, I guess.

Delilah mentions it. I have no explanation.

Re-reading deceived, by illusion, I have to ask: how does the Allspeak handle things like rhymes? Could Loki understand the rhymes about the implications a duck soul has for one’s evening even though she could not reproduce them?

Also, should I assume that the rhyme is somehow the same one which is obvious to modern English speakers despite neither of the relevant words being the same back then?

You should not assume the rhyme is the obvious; I mentioned ducks because ducks have, uh, interesting anatomy, not interesting consonants.

I don't have a particularly clear idea of the exact way Allspeak works.

I think anyone sufficiently curious could have looked it up themselves, you know.

Can Elcenian dragons, Names fairies, intelligent devices like Brilliance, or other magic panlinguists do runecasting safely? I imagine that dragons can use any non-Draconic language, but would fairies need to actually learn a language (which sounds like it should be possible, but tedious and difficult) to safely cast a spell?

Similarly, I predict that telepaths such as aranea would be obliged to learn a language. Some telepaths aren't really set up with standard vocal apparatus. Can you cast in sign languages?

Can sorcery (either/both) do illusions? Can enchantment? Ialdae?
Which of the magic users glow or make other stuff glow when they do magic?
At approximately what momentum level do sorcerers start being able to make themselves taller/shorter/skinnier/more tanned etc.?

...Who is aranea?
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

Yes to sign languages, undefined to panlinguists.

Sorcery can do illusions as an extension of fairylights and invisibility. Enchantment can do them straight up.

It depends on how much trait/trait/etc. you mean.

Aranea are spider persons from "Mother of Learning", a web serial.
