Isabella always bugs me when it comes to colour philosophy. She's really obviously black, but the question is 'does she have another color?' I tend to vacillate on this point, since her inner-selves are often in violent disagreement over wether she's red, white or blue.

From what I remember of Isabella, I'd probably model her as straight blue, no black or white. She's pretty light on scruples for a human, but compare with The Process Engine faction of Phyrexia, which is distinctly blue and which sounds right in line with how Isabella approaches things.

A good point, but keep in mind that 'Phyrexian Blue' is significantly blacker than regular blue, just as Phyrexian White is blacker than regular white, Phyrexian Green is blacker than regular green, etc. Blue/Black is definitely a color set I've considered for her.

Edit: "Mistakes are only abhorrent if they go undocumented" is a very Isabella line, though.

Jokers are the Reddest Red that ever Redded. They can bleed into any other color, but they are ridiculously red.
Bells are mainly Blue with a healthy helping of Black, with some variations. (ex. Tab is much Whiter than most, Angela is almost exclusively White/Black pre-pealing)

I think this is underestimating the extent to which Bells tend to be white. Like, in MTG White has all the Ground Rules-like spells, and in-universe my impression is that that's because the Ground Rules are a very white thing to do. And applying the Ground Rules seems to be the kind of thing Bells in general do when they have the power and consider themselves to have the right because it's the sort of thing they want to do, rather than something Stella did because of unusual circumstances, and this seems to me to be a symptom of a more general White streek in Bells rather than a one-off thing. In general, while Bells pursue power in a Blue/Black way, once they have power they largely use it in White ways.

One of the weird things about Magic is that modern human culture is really really White. Every major competing political position is white. Communism is white, socialism is white, democracy is white, theocracy is white, fascism is white, bureaucracy is white, monarchy is white. So are moral philosophies; utiliatarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, they're all just arguing about which is the right way to live Whitely. All the western religions are white, as are Hinduism and Jainism. Buddhism I think depends on which tradition you're following but is in the white-blue-green cluster, and Taoism is the rare religion that's not white (it's Green). So expressing human values is a White thing to do.

This often makes it hard for us to actually picture what 'neutral' looks like, since we only have white-X people to compare to.

That's because white is both Lawful and Good, in D&D terms. Most legal systems or moral philosophies tend to emphasize one of those at least so fall partly into white. Most of the systems you named also have at least a touch of green or blue.

Anitami politics would, amusingly, be fairly blue, I think. Dictatorships can vary, but many are probably at least partially black. Anarchy is red. Environmentalism is green.
