I think I'd like it if the IRC logs had their own thread on the forum where they were posted regularly by day, like they did on the MWF, so that I will have any hope of ever remembering to catch up on them. XD
So are summaries going to be a thing? Because I am really definitely not going to be able to catch up on the logs but I would be sad if I were totally left out of the conversation.
I could probably catch up with the logs if they were regularly and consistently posted on the forum where I will remember to read them, but I would also appreciate summaries A Lot.
10:30: Throne joins, chat doesn't have much momentum
10:45: DanielH has issues with synchronizing his clock with internet time
11:00: Windows is frustrating, pedro is welcomed to the darkside, cookies are not (really?) had.
Pedro is on holiday. How dare this not be the continued state of things.
Faceless has cookies. Welcome to the dark side, rockeye.
*Mute
Faceless is "Faceless, aka, FacelessDude, Aka Faceless Dude Secretly Living In Your Computer, aka CuriousDiscoverer, Aka Bluelantern"; Throne3d is "mostly just Throne3d"
Throne has a new character, named Rachel, who wants to be boring, is facecasted by "Patricia Rooney Mara", and isn't actually inclined to be particularly boring. Theo's mom is called 'Victoria' and also has more of a personality now.
Throne is chatty
11:15: *Mute is explained!
11:30: Tags are apparently going to be publically posted in chat.
Faceless wants to make a setting involving tiny cities in glass tubes?
12:00: Ubuntu has a new update: 16.04 LTS
Faceless wants to torture a Dreamshard!Felix, Throne's Theos are bad with depression
12:15: Pedro likes an empty office. Italics are discovered (surrounding words with forward slashes, like /this/ which appears as this in mibbit)
12:30: RoboticLIN joins. Is offered Faceless's cookies (sorta) by Throne.
12:45: Adelene suggests dropping the winged immortal Dreamshard!Felix on Lurker.
13:00: Let's use /topic <topic> to set topics to make summaries easier?
Theo wants a storyline to continue, but unfortunately other authors are not currently available.
13:15: Ridding ourselves of Pedro's Tobias
13:30: Adelene likes Blue and Green, talks about them some
Atheistcanuck joins, is offered cookies, 'the dark side' seems to be becoming a running joke.
Throne should sort out his dreamwidth accounts to have the right icons and other details
Throne suggests, basically, MWF.
More ridding ourselves of Tobias. How about teleportation into a lake?
14:15: "Montag" and "Sonntag" are the tags for Pedro and Throne (Book of the Moon and Apricum, respectively): German days of the week.
Brant Daugherty is hot, Throne follows tumblrs relating to him.
14:30: Kappa's facecast choices are also hot.
Sexuality is discussed. As are character sexualities.
14:45: Throne is 'psychic' about what pedro means (that Faceless's characters are very bisexual and also very sexual), and then totally fails to comprehend something later.
Sadde-and-jokerpiles are 'too nsfw for euphemisms', a saddepile might be an 'orgy' (as opposed to e.g. a 'peal'), Throne crashes
Sonatagreen is Lambda
15:00: Faceless has cookies.
A Nickpeal would be a guild. A Grenpeal maybe a squad or platoon. Carmines have no nice peal names.
15:15: Various tags.
15:30: Rick Malambri (the facecast of white male Ev, a carmine) is hot.
Various face-casts of Faceless's characters are hot... ish.
Theo's dad William (a carmine) is hot, should get with a guy.
More tags.
16:00: Teceler's Cassiel doesn't like the actions of some people.
16:15: Raezenoth causes a split in opinions.
Faceless's cookies get put into a milkshake
American English is difficult to write. Q-tip, faucet, pants, cookies, trunk, hood, Kleenex etc.
16:30: Pedro leaves.
"Punting" apparently means boating or something in British? (Throne hasn't heard that, and Throne is British)
More of Teceler's characters' opinions on various gods, recap of Tisvetaia.
16:45: Asterisks are apparently invalid characters in IRC names. Rockeye joins. Spaces are also not allowed.
Unicode characters are used (open & close quotes, long dashes, ellipses, apostrophes)
Rockeye talks binary moon systems.
Rockeye is skeptical that Throne is British?
17:00: More Americanisms (Xerox), UK armored vehicles apparently have a "BV" (boiling vessel) which is a teapot set into a wall (Throne has not heard this). British plugs are also better except they land prongs-up. "Mains electricity" (general-purpose AC power) is a British term.
"Chav" and other British slang / potentially rude phrases. Also American equivalents.
17:45: Pedro returns.
18:00: Teceler has issues with special characters (specifically á, not people-characters)
18:15: "Headbutt" is not British despite what Google has to say on the matter.
Teceler is not in fact on the latest version of Ubuntu. X-Chat and UTF-8 is weird. Italics and colors have varying support on different clients.
18:45: DanielH tests support for text formatting. Italics seem controversial.
19:15: Eva (the carmine) gets chatty in Throne's head sometimes.
19:30: Throne leaves.
19:45: Ways to kill a Sunnyverse vampire. (Holy water is what? Decapitation by metal bar works. Metal bar crosses could work?)
Rockeye complains about difficulty of finding *Mute expressions.
Buffyverse canon: crosses can harm vampires, Willow uses crosses, Willow hides crosses from her dad, therefore other religious symbols presumably do not function like crosses.
20:30: Pedro tries to do world-building on Alethia.
20:45: Ashras x Sadde was unplanned. Or, happened sooner than expected.
Inlustrem!Sadde would probably mate on Isra.
21:30: (His Dark Materials) Dust is a mess
22:00: Pedro leaves.
22:15: Alicorn joins.
22:30: nose (long time lurker, first time poster) joins. Rockeye joins.
22:45: DeAnno joins. Kappa joins.
Channel in-jokes (about cookies & the dark side) are discussed.
23:00: Writers suffer insecurity.
Rockeye does homework.
23:15: Alucine borders are discussed. Duplication can happen. Edges look 'off'. Kappa plays Zelda (Ocarina) with Alicorn's spouse. Other games are also discussed.
23:30: Summary algorithms (NLP, Natural Language Processing) exist.
Sonatagreen brings in MotherStarlight for logs.
I'll probably get to doing other bits eventually. That took me longer than I expected, but it should be easier to do them going forwards, because I can just look at the topic changes and bits around them to make sure people aren't forgetting to update the topics.
Also, these times seem to be in Central Time, whereas the ones by MotherStarlight are Eastern, so they'll be offset by an hour.
