"...this is complicated. I think you might be able to copy my magic. If you can, you will then be very, very powerful. If you are very, very powerful, you will get lots of things you want. If you want things I don't want, then I shouldn't help you. I am probably okay with helping you make food and Dyson spheres and stuff. But I don't know for sure, because I don't know what you'd do if you freed up whatever resources you'd be using to make food and store energy otherwise. Maybe you'd hurt other people. You guys weren't very nice to me, to start out. If there are other thinking things around in this world I want to know about them and make sure you prefer to be nice to them."

It takes her a while more to process that.

"Well, you could say you aren't evil psychopaths whether you were or not. And you did hurt me. When you swiped my sandwich it took a layer of skin with it, I don't think you knew how fast I heal."

[Armok]

"Proof imposible! Assume one lie, assume lie ever."

[Alicorn]

"Yeah. Proof is impossible, but I'm not holding out for proof, I just want to be able to hold a proper conversation with you that involves more than fifty percent grammatical sentences and maybe take a tour around some places where you are doing things and read about what software protocol led to putting a sapient creature in a force field and then a shrinkable box and then stealing his sandwich and then trying to extort computers out of him. So far it looks like you are not very nice but want some things very badly. I would like to see you being nice and make reasonably sure there isn't some large number of other people besides me who you choose not to be nice to."
